I like to imagine people taking the ingredients I provide as a starting point and adding their own special twist that makes it uniquely theirs.

Julie Pederson's switch from marketing to spice mongering has been rewarding on many levels. “I once had a person tell me that when they opened up a chai kit, the aroma reminded them so much of the chai they used to drink in India that it brought tears to their eyes,” she says. Julie finds inspiration in her cookbook library and hearing about other people's connections with food, “I’m always looking for new ideas, and some of the best come from engaging people in conversation."
