What Makes It UncommonThese adorable, easy-to-grow trees are doubly rewarding to their plant parents: They're both ornamental and agricultural. Joel and Danny Trejo grow these low-maintenance trees on their Florida farm until they're ready to produce fragrant blooms and juice-filled fruits in your home.
- Tree variety is thought to be a natural cross of kumquat and mandarin orange.
- Their sour fruit and sweet, edible peels (with enticing notes of apricot, tangerine, lemon, pineapple, and guava) are staples in Filipino and Malaysian cuisine.
- Made in Florida.

location
Florida
First generation Mexican-American father and son duo Joel and Danny Trejo founded their grow-at-home citrus tree business on the Florida family farm that Joel started after immigrating from Mexico. "Having my hands in the dirt at a young age," says Danny, "bonded me with the art and value of growing something yourself. You get a feeling of being grounded and attached to life itself." Starting with just one plant, they're now "sharing our love of growing citrus with as many people as possible."

My tree arrived quickly, was well packed, and appeared healthy. There's no fruit yet, but it's green and appears to like my sunny kitchen.

Thank you thank you thank you to the gardeners who grew my orange tree. I love it and it is covered in orange blossoms and small oranges. I left it in the pot is was shipped in for 6 months to let it acclimate to the south window in my house in Minneapolis. I am very happy with it !
Tristan
We have a lot of fruit trees and I was surprised on how this one died only after having it a couple of months. It got a little roughed up in the packaging but we have never had issues with buying plants online so I kept it thinking it would bounce back. I was wrong.

I wish it were written somewhere that these plants are highly toxic to cats and dogs. While the trees arrived beautifully, no messages accompanied any of the 6 I sent out.
Crafty Girl
We purchased this for my mom and mother in law. The blooms smell absolutely heavenly and the little mini oranges are adorable! This drinks a lot of water, but very well worth the TLC.

I was nervous about buying a plant online, but could not find a calamondin tree locally. The plant arrived in great condition and was also fuller than I expected. I've now had the tree for almost a month, and though it hasn't produced any fruit yet as others have mentioned, it has bloomed a couple times and seems to be thriving.
AB
The tree arrived slightly damaged and it slowly died over the next couple months, even while I tried everything I could find online to keep it alive.

Got it for my mother. Tree was healthy and is growing great.

When I ordered this tree, I was a little worried about the condition of it after shipping. I was amazed at the packaging and the quality of the tree. It arrived with blooms and now has at least 10 oranges on it.

When my tree arrived it was full of blossoms which later turned to green fruit which has ripened! I now have lots of little orange Calamondin fruits that taste like tangerines or Cuties! I did buy a grow light which probably helped. I can also see new flowers sprouting!
