Carmel and Terrell Swan share a lot of things, including a love of travel and an interest in offbeat and eclectic visual combinations. They also get inspiration from the work of David Hockney, Sonia Delauney, graffitti, old cartoons, and Hermes window displays. Terrell is a doodler, he loves to draw with anything that comes to hand. Carmel loves glitter glue pens. She's also working on a book of photos shot out of the backseats of cars in the rain.
The Swans' favorite customer story is about a woman who'd had one of their Iowa pillows, which was destroyed with everything else she owned in a fire at her assisted living facility. The woman told her daughter the pillow was the only thing she'd lost that she cared about enough to replace, because it reminded her of so many happy memories of the place where she'd grown up. It's that kind of thing that keeps them happily living and working together in Petaluma, California. -

I got this pillow as a gift for my son who is a huge LSU fan. He travels when he can to see lots of their games. The pillow is amazing in its quality and is perfect in its choices of the LSU campus scenes shown. I know them all because I am an LSU alumnus. My son entertains often for the games even though he lives a long way from Louisiana and he loves to use LSU items when he does. This pillow is really unique. I haven't seen anything elsewhere to compare with it.

This item is exactly as pictured. The pillow is well made and the embroidery is lovely. It depicts a lovely array of the campus sights and buildings. I can't wait to give this to my granddaughter to take to college with her. I think it something she will treasure for years as a sweet reminder of her college days. I will purchase another one as soon as my other granddaughter decides on her college.
