  • What Makes It Uncommon
Working from her studio inside of a barn surrounded by 2 acres of wilderness, ceramist Sheri Bazany is often visited by all kinds of woodland friends. "My natural surroundings influence me," she says, "and I turn my observations into art." It's no wonder that Sheri's hand-thrown berry bowl has such a familiar avian shape and a striking blue hue.

    • Sheri shapes each piece on her potter's wheel before hand-altering, trimming, and imprinting it with textures and designs.
    • Stoneware ceramic berry bowl has a matching drainage dish; both are finished with a food-safe glaze.
    • Designed to rinse and drain berries, cherries, or other fruits and vegetables.
    • Measures 6"L x 6"W x 4"H.
    • Handmade in North Carolina.

Due to the handmade nature of this item, each is unique and will vary.

    Sheri Bazany

    created by Sheri Bazany

Sheri Bazany has been creating with clay since she took her first pottery class over 30 years ago. Sheri is drawn to simple shapes that “serve a purpose, rather than just sit there looking good,” she says. Her studio sits in a small barn near Sevierville, Tennessee, surrounded by woods and streams. One tiny drawback to working in such a beautiful spot: the occasional visit from a curious Smoky Mountains bear. “I keep a big umbrella near my doorway to pop open when they come a bit too close for comfort!”
