This kit includes everything you need to start your own sunflower patch, including seeds for six heirloom varieties in an incredible range of colors, shapes, and heights and a recycled egg carton to sprout them in.

    Among the easiest flowers to cultivate from seed, sunflowers are especially exciting as a child's first gardening project, because they grow so fast and get so tall. (The Classic Mammoth, included, reaches 9-12 feet, with enormous blossoms.) They're the closest thing we know to planting pure happiness. Assembled in Covington, Georgia.

    This came exactly as expected. I was trying to come up with a unique birthday gift for someone who literally has everything! When my friend opened the gift, she was immediately intrigued by the packaging. Once she saw she could grow her own sunflowers, she was so excited as sunflowers are her favorite. It was something she had never thought of doing and having the kit made it so simple to do. Would definitely recommend as it is a completely unexpected gift!

    The instruction were well written and I followed them! But I should have just put the seeds directly into my garden, transplanting them (some where quite fragile). The few flowers that are growing are doing well.
