Each owl is hand-cut from raw, 20-gauge steel and welded to a metal stake that develops a lovely patina (the fast, alluring chemical process of rusting and oxidation) when left outdoors over time. While part of its charm, this weathering is easily delayed by spraying with an indoor/outdoor clear coat.     This owl garden stake was a gift, and the recipient loved it! It is so cute, and they include instructions on how to keep it a shiny silver, if you prefer that over the rust color that will appear naturally. It would be a great addition to any garden or yard.

    I planned to add this to my beautiful city garden, but it's so darling that, for now at least, I put it in my big potted fig in the dining room. My granddaughter was delighted when she saw it peeking out.

    I love how this aged after a season in my front garden. As with all owls, you have to look carefully to see him but once you do you can't stop looking! It's easy to move around (I like to rotate things around my yard to keep it interesting) but secure once in place.

    The design is very cute and this arrived quickly. I purchased it because our grandson loves owls. Sadly, after a very brief time in the garden, there is quite a bit of rust on ornament. Will not keep beyond the season.
