    Take It Slow

Garden greens looking a little blue? Is that unruly tangle of a yard making you lose your inner balance? Let Michael Gentilucci's centering sculptures bring peace, humor, and the art of Zen to off-kilter spaces.

Known for its slow-and-steady pace, the turtle adds a calming presence to outdoor spaces and reminds us to watch our speed and take in the little things in life. To add even more Zen-like charm, Chinese characters etched into the back of each turtle's robe represent the animal's primary characteristic—longevity. Michael's meditative sealed cement sculptures are designed to weather the elements through the four seasons as they center greenspaces with their amiable auras. Handmade in USA.

    Michael Gentilucci

    created by Michael Gentilucci

    location

    California

As Michael and Alisa Gentilucci were relaxing in their garden, surrounded by planters and accents and imagining their future together, the seed of a new idea took root. A year later, they launched a business. "We began making molds in our garage and soon realized we were onto something," says Michael. They purchased a property with a dilapidated Victorian cabin and unfinished warehouse, transforming it into their garden shop, studio, and home. Michael designs expressive, inspirational garden art and collaborates with local artists to sculpt it. "Customers smile while holding our art," he says, "and tell us stories about who they plan to give it to."

    A Dandy rain

I own a few and have gifted a few. They are sweet and smile-inducing. Also sturdy. The table where my dog sculpture sat fell over, and the pup was unharmed!

Purchased as a gift for my Bestie and she loved it! Not only was the What Makes It Uncommon of the turtle perfect, the little Buddha robe was also amazing. I think I need to order another to add to my personal sculpture garden! If you need a unique gift for a friend or yourself I would highly recommend this product.

    Peglet

He was supposed to be a gift but will have to buy another one because as soon as we saw it, we decided to keep him for ourselves. He is currently hiding under a leaf in our garden.

I love this turtle sculpture! They are my favorite animals and it adds some humor to my garden. It's really well made. #sweepstakes.

The first time I saw these turtles on customer photos I started laughing. They look so turtle-y and wise! I got two. They can super well packaged. I mean they're very heavy and seem like they can survive a big fall, but you never know, and I appreciate good packaging. They looked like the online photos, except that I'm tempted to use some paints to bring out some features more. Since it's all one color, they look a little like lumps until you get close. Small one's staying indoors. Big one will go into the back yard at some point. I think of them as my Shaolin monk turtles.

We just got a new back door put in and we wanted something that could help the door stay open when there was a light wind, but be an aesthetic addition to the tiny porch otherwise. My hubs and has an affinity for turtles and I am a meditator so the combination was perfect. We also have a gray theme to our home making the material used for the sculpture perfectly matched.

Love the look of these little guys. The little kids will like them too. And the qualities they represent are great too.

My mom likes to collect all kinds of garden sculptures that she puts on her porch, front stairs and garden.

I ignored the cost of purchasing 6 because I thought that the sculptures were perfect for my garden loving neighbors in this time of Covid, politics and my puppy!
