  • What Makes It Uncommon

    Color Flow

    Like a lava lamp's cooler cousin, this orb displays vivid chromatic ribbons that morph and transform. Thanks to fluorescence—the emission and reemission of light at increasingly long wavelengths—it creates a different mesmerizing light show with each use.

    To start the process, fill the empty lamp with water, place it on the UV stand, add several drops of the included gel, then watch as colors ever-so-slowly swirl and shift. As the gel dissolves, it turns from reds and pinks to oranges and yellows, finally becoming a brilliant, highly fluorescent green.

    Once fully mixed, the glowing water settles into a translucent, ombré gradient. When you're ready, pour out the mix, rinse the orb with warm water, and put the orb and stand on display until the next time you want to blow everyone's minds. Gel made in California. Orb made in China.

    Care

    If gel has separated, swirl and shake the bottle to mix thoroughly before using.

    Remove silicone stopper on glass orb. Fill glass orb with room temperature tap water. Leave about a half-inch of space from the opening. Do not overfill. Dry outside of glass and place on blacklight base. Plug in light base and turn on using the switch on the cord.

    Make the room dark. Turn off the lights. The room does not need to be totally dark and UV base will illuminate some of the room. Gently mix gel again, then add 10 to 15 drops of gel to the orb through the top opening. The orb can be left on the light base as a room decoration.

    To clean, pour out and rinse the orb in the sink. Rinse with warm water. TIP: Turn the orb upside down and at a slight angle to allow the water to flow out of the hole.

    Notes

    The complete kit includes the glass orb, light base, USB-C cable, and two bottles of fluorescent gel (one red and one green).

    Each bottle contains approximately 350 drops, which translates to approximately 35 uses per bottle.
