    Tiny Tomes

There’s always that one classic piece of literature that becomes an instant favorite. You know the one: You’ve read it one or 20 times. Now you can display your literary love for a treasured tome with your choice of three lockets featuring books written by iconic female authors. Each piece is handmade by Aisha Loeks—she replicates the book’s cover and includes a quote inside, then hangs it from an 18" chain. Choose from Charlotte Brontë’s Jane Eyre, Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, or Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women to add a little bookish beauty to your outfit. Decorated in Pennsylvania.

    Each quote reads as follows:
    • Jane Eyre:"I would rather be happy than dignified."
    • Pride and Prejudice:"To be fond of dancing was a certain step towards falling in love."
    • Little Women: "Don't try and make me grow up before my time."

An artist since age 8, Sante Fe, New Mexico, native Aisha Loeks had been working on a clothing line until she had a creative epiphany while perusing a trade show jewelry booth. Now she crafts pieces inspired by the collection left to her by her grandma. Partially self-taught and burgeoned by her study of mold-making for prosthetics, she majored in theater with a concentration in costume and prop design. Aisha has upgraded from her guest room to a studio space where she can make messes and not worry about cleaning up.
